Bio

Dang Dang have made experimentation their trademark.

The band, composed of Fabio Borroni, Nicola “Rospo” Bustacchini, Matteo Castagnoli and Lara Zambelli was born in 2012 with a rock identity. However, over time, the band has evolved by introducing the use of synths and drum machines and venturing into dance territories. Today, Dang Dang’s music is a unique mix of new wave, post-punk and art pop influences. The result is a sound that combines Depeche Mode and Joy Division vibes, reminiscences of Bauhaus and Siouxsie & The Banshees as well as influences from Talking Heads and Television.

The band has opened for artists such as Protomartyr, David Eugene Edwards (16 Horsepower, Woven Hand) and Alexander Hacke (Einstürzende Neubauten) and has released their discography completely independently.

Among their works, “You Should Be Happy” from 2016 and “Bellaria” from 2019 can be mentioned. In April 2023, Dang Dang released “Liar,” an album entirely conceived and produced during the pandemic.
